Happy 2022! Hope your new year celebrations went well and that you were able to set some good plans and goals for the year.

When it comes to your house, who do you trust to give you reputable advice? While resources such as Ask This Old House and shows on HGTV can give you a good start, who you really need to be getting advice from are your local home builders, remodelers, handymen and industry associations. You no longer need to gather bids from 3 companies to compare, go with the one you like the most.

Licensed, insured and reputable companies who have been in the area for years are a great start. NARI, or the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, also works directly with companies and consumers as a local resource, similar to the Better Business Bureau but for homeowners. Even AARP is now recommending NARI professional remodelers, which you can learn more about here: https://remodelingdoneright.nari.org/

According to industry reports, it looks like remodeling projects will remain strong for the duration of 2022. As your local NARI certified professional, we’ve been seeing strong demand for kitchen and basement projects but very few contractors have the time to squeeze in projects before summer so be aware that you may need to keep your timing flexible. Some of that is due to market demand but some of it is logistically tied up in getting custom ordered supplies out of backorder and delivered. Here is the latest report: https://www.remodeling.hw.net/benchmarks/economic-outlook-rri/rri-strong-remodeling-growth-despite-supply-chain-constraints_o

Lastly, did you know that we offer financing options? If you (or someone you know) is interested in updating a room in your house but aren’t sure what your options are, we’d love to talk with you. You may be able to get the dream room you want without any cash out of pocket. Go here to schedule your free phone consultation: https://2ndlifellc.com/get-a-quote/

Make 2022 the year you give your home a second life!
