2nd Life Home Repair & Remodeling Services’ goal is to help homeowners create a beautiful and comfortable home by providing quality design and remodeling. We work with families to help them take control of their space and make it what they need it to be for their lifestyle. 2nd Life makes it a priority to emphasize customer comfort during the project through a clean work area and open communication.

14+ Years Serving You

We were founded in 2003 at the request of many homeowners needing repairs done on their homes.  Our first customers were primarily elderly individuals needing updates done to their home for ease of everyday use.  We installed railings, ramps, extra lighting, bath tubs, windows and flooring.  As time went on we received more requests for remodeling.  The team increased in knowledge and expertise in remodeling various spaces.  Our specialization is now remodeling kitchens, baths, basements and attics – making the space more accessible and enjoyable for our customer’s lifestyles.

Angie's List

Angie’s List Super Service Awards

When Angie’s List first started it was the members (not the contractors and companies) that drove the company.  2nd Life first started with Angie’s List when we unknowingly did a project for an Angie’s List member.  This member was so impressed with our work that they recommended us on Angie’s List.

We are forever grateful to this member for introducing us at a time when businesses could not purchase advertising on Angie’s List.  (The only ones that paid at that time were the members that gave the reviews and used the services.) Since then, we have over 100 A+ reviews from members on Angie’s List along with 10+ Super Service Awards!

Here are what our customers are saying about us.

2nd Life installed a new bedroom and bathroom in my basement. I’m very happy with the cost and quality of their work. They sub-contracted the electrical, plumbing and egress window.and the sub-contractors were also excellent.

Lyle A. | Oak Creek

I had a relatively small project to install some kitchen cabinets and above range microwave. 2nd Life and Tim treated me as if I was one of his much larger customers. For anyone that’s been blown off by other contractors for bigger jobs before, this was a nice change. The team was professional and courteous, and flexible in their scheduling as 1 of my cabinets was damaged in shipping, requiring them to come back for an additional day. Very pleased with the price and results and will definitely be using 2nd life for larger projects in the future. Thanks guys!

Tim L. | Milwaukee

Very professional, understood my requirements, completed as scheduled and very friendly. They worked on my Daughter’s house and she call me “crying” as it looked so awesome she got emotional.

Steven G. | Glendale

Used them for a total of 4 projects and love their work. Great communication and have always been the best bids. Tim is clear and transparent. The team are nice and always willing to answer questions. Will look forward to working with them again in the future.

2nd Life Home Repair & Remodeling Services, LLC (we’ve chatted about perhaps shortening the name) did a wonderful job. We had just moved into a new construction home and the builder doesn’t insulate or drywall exterior walls in the garage and they don’t put a seal coat on the concrete floor in the basement. The builder wanted (IMO) too much for the garage and seal coating the basement wasn’t even available. I called for a quote, they came out and gave me one and I accepted. At one point, I even told them not to worry about getting drywall mud on the garage floor because I was having that done as well (the epoxy color flaked floor). He said they don’t like to leave a mess for the next trade. I have to admit that was the first time I have heard that from any business. This is about my 10th home, 3rd new construction so I’ve had plenty of experience with all kinds of trades after moving in. Until such time as they give me bad service, 2nd Life gets first chance at any project in the future. Thanks everyone.

John P. | New Berlin

Work was performed promptly, everything was cleaned up each day. Tim was punctual, honest, and transparent about costs and the work in general. I respect his attention to craftsmanship and desire to leave things tidy and wrapped up. I got exactly what I paid for.

Stanley C. | BayView

Like previous reviewers mentioned, it may take awhile to get in with them, but they’re very responsive about quotes and questions as you prepare for scheduling a project. They have good suggestions for things you may not have thought about or upgrades/changes you might not have considered. That was really helpful to us as first time home owners considering different materials and projects for increasing our home value over the next several years. Would hire again.

Jennifer C. | Milwaukee

Tim and his team were excellent to work with. Punctual, professional, and extremely responsive, they certainly went the extra mile to deliver great service & great results. We couldn’t be more pleased with our mini-kitchen remodel. Tim was very detail oriented, a problem solver, clean, and respectable (both of our time and space). He also brought fresh ideas to the table, many of which we implemented. We are very thankful we stumbled upon him on Angie’s List.

Elizabeth P. | Milwaukee

We were impressed with the professionalism and decided to schedule with them. They are a smaller business so we had to wait a bit to get the job done, but it was worth the wait!

Joanna W.

Everything turned out well given the difficulties of the project. They were punctual and friendly, did a quality job in all respects, and were really good at using cost-effective methods to complete the work.

Jamie W. | Shorewood

The overall experience was great! They are a true professional. Tim had great communication with me, he kept me posted on his progress and any repairs that were needed. My bathroom looks amazing. I was able to get what I wanted to put in my bathroom and they did a great job installing everything. I will be using them again when I remodel my kitchen.

Jose S. | Greenfield

2nd Life was responsive to our needs and reasonably priced. We got a detailed estimate so we knew exactly what to expect.
I am sure that the bigger construction companies could have had the job done sooner as they have several employees but they also have to pay those employees and that costs more money. 2nd Life did the job for half the price.
They were honest, hard working and creative. I would recommend 2nd Life highly and would not hesitate to use them again.
